This clip, made by 5 girls for the eating disorders charity beat, is aimed at people who are suffering or are worried about someone who may have an eating disorder. We all talk openly about our experiences of having an eating disorder, our turning points and how we feel now we are recovering or recovered. We all give advice to people to help others. The clip is very meaningful to me as it represents some of my past experiences.

  • This film was shortlisted for a first light movie award.

Orlando Bloom called it "informative and arresting"

  • we attend the BEAT support groups in our area, and they are fantastic. Its great to see a video showing the reality that recovery is possible :)

  • Thank u = )

  • it's really helpful to see people who have recovered. It gives me hope, and it gets rid of the lonely feeling I get when I feel like no one will understand wut I'm going thru, thank you for the vid =)

  • those stores sound like mine

  • I was sent to ER, as well as psychiatrist hospitals lots of times, until I recovered my weight. Because I was "fat" again (or thats what I thought I looked like), I developed bulimia. Gosh; that was horrible. It was even worst than anorexia because I didnt feel in control of what I ate. I just binge and binge all day, and then purge it all. It was my everyday life. Thanks God, I got help, and Im back to 112 pounds, and my binges/purges have stopped. Im eating well and playing soccer

  • i think that even just listening to her is very important..because we often have nobody to talk to.

and don't tell her that she's perfect like that, and that she should eat. those things are just useless and annoying.

you should tell her to go see a doctor/psychologist instead, those people are the only ones that can help her to get better.

  • One of my close friends has just told me she has an eating disorder. I knew something was wrong, but i thought it'd be best to give her space, until she really wanted to tell me what the problem was. Now she has, and i don't really kw what to say or do to help?

I can listen to anything she has to say, and she has the help of her counsollar and family, but it's tough.
