  • omg that was sooo cool wait where is that in alaska? i live in anchorage and its so cool in the winter cuz u can ski,skate......ya oh hey benji uffenbeck nice v2...tim kelley nice that was so cool!!:)

  • Thanks! The skiing is mostly in the Kenai Mountains and Prince William Sound, south of Anchorage. You and your family and friends should think about trying some crust skiing yourself on Portage Lake this spring. You must be a good skier to notice Benjis V2! Benji is the best skier of us all. Benji is awesome!! Cheers.

  • Hi guys, that s awesome vid. How many miles do you ski during average day? Kenai is amazing place. I ve been there canoeing on Kenai Lake in summer 2007. And I m almost crying, I can t be there this April for XC. Keep doing this videos pls...Brano (Slovakia).

  • Brano, Our typical crust ski is 20 to 30 miles. Of course we do shorter ones too. And I think our longest was a 83 miler we did one day during a 440 mile multi-day crust ski out of Kotzebue in the mid 1990s. The Kenai is waiting for you anytime you want to come back to Alaska. By the way, Slovakia rocks!

  • Very Cool Tim! Loved this vid - as it was a combo of your greatest shots. Loved those really small skis you were on on the roadway too. I guess they can take alittle rocks if they've been spread huh?

God bless and look forward to seeing more. :) Bevinne

  • Hi Bevinne! Those "short skis" are Nordic blades. They are speed skates that clip to xc ski boots. We had an ice road around Anchorage in 2007 (which is rare) ... so it had to be skated!! You can really fly on Nordic blades ... but you sure wouldn't want to hit a rock going 25 mph on them!

  • The scenes are from all over Southcentral Alaska. But I figure what you are referring to, the scenes near the beginning where there are a lot of downhill shots, that is the Center Creek on the Kenai Penninsula. It's a GREAT place for spring skiing. Put it on your list of places to go and ski someday!!

  • where is that was it twords flat top

Please tell me it looks so cool to ski
