@MADAMEOCTA07 see everyone is always complaining (which i can understand) about pointework but ive been on pointe for a year and a half and i havent gotten any blisters
-
@Batavia007 obviously you don't have a brain and you cannot dance to the quality that dancers do and ingrane corrections week after week into your body and make sure your every movement has clarity and that you don't make a mistake or endure the 8 hours professional dancers do each day
by the way i bought some defficient pointe shoes online by accident off the internet that are brand new and rock hard lolz

As a dancer I think that we are always look for perfection. That`s something that gymnastics doen`t need much we need strength, brains, beauty control expression, love, and certain things; gymnastics do not need to smile all the time while doing a performance, but it`s just a point of view. My reason? simple: gymnastics are sport and dancing is an art .

to the person who said dancers have no brain, i would run. You just got about 400 dancers mad at you and guess what... we have pointe shoes and they hurt :)
-
Those 600 muscles are always in use whether you dance or not thank you.

Wow. Who the heck was idiotic enough to say that 'dancers are stupid?' LOL. (To that person, I congratulate them: I've officially met a doorknob! ROFL)
Dancers, especially ones of the caliber selected by the Miami City Ballet, are exceptional human beings. LIving representations of grace, control, strength, subtlety and performance. ^_^ It's a joy to witness them on stage!

@prn4ustat I did regular men's gymnastics, all six events. So floor, vault, high bar, parallel bars, pommel horse and rings. It absolutely helps, especially with modern which tends to be more athletic.

@brainfreeze215 what kind of gymnastics were you in? yeah both gym and dance are a precise 'science', but you would have the added bonus of amazing flexibility and incredbile core strength i'm sure :-D always a bonus!! lucky!
knowing how to use those 600 muscules is something you have to learn, and for that you need a good brain! do you really think dancers are stupid? well, there are no stupid dancers, 'cause stupid people can't become dancers! don't talk if you don't know what you're talking about!

Speaking as a gymnast turned dancer, I can tell you that dance requires just as much precision and control as gymnastics does. And the last time I did a backflip was today. Right after I was doing a la seconde turns.
