Women's Media Center

www.womensmediacenter.com The Women's Media Center makes women visible and powerful in the media. Led by our president, the former Rock the Vote head Jehmu Greene, the WMC works with the media to ensure that women's stories are told and women's voices are heard. We do this in three ways: through our media advocacy campaigns; by creating our own media; and by training women to participate directly in media. We are directly engaged with the media at all levels to ensure that a diverse group of women is present in newsrooms, on air, in print and online, as sources and subjects.

The Women's Media Center was founded in 2005 as a non-profit progressive women's media organization by writers/activists Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan, and Gloria Steinem.

everyone who has something valuable to say should be heard regardless of gender, but the video is trying to point out that women's voices need to be amplified because they are not currently being heard enough. it is not saying that men should be silenced at all.

@prettypolitico Equality is just fine by me. But the problem is that equality does not exist, and the balance is not tipped in favor of men like you believe. My stance against femenism is not one that says women should return to their lesser roles as housewives only and should stay in the kitchen with the kids. I believe women can achieve whatever they want if they try. What I dislike is that they are in fact capable of anything men can do, but complain anyway until it's hand-fed to them.

It bothers me when people use the argument "It shouldn't be just about women's rights, that's sexist, it should be about human rights!" Well, you're right, it should be about human rights, but as of now, women are not treated as equal human beings. We have to fight to get to that point first before we can talk about human rights as if it applies to everyone.

Working for female rights and human rights produce the same outcomes. They better society. Racist, sexist, it doesn't matter who you are, the degrading of women in the media produces negative outcomes. This will always bring out feminazis - those who have had to battle class a douche bags and are forever scarred, but insecure men need to get over themselves, the facts in this video are valid.
