pedal...

im guessing you have a line 6 amp? anyway you need to have a foot pedal/multi effects pedal. I have a Zoom G2. you click the buttons with your foot and it changes the sound simutaneously

i have a question
How do you switch from clean to distorted?
I mean, I'm a guitarist, and I play the intro of this song, but then I have to reach down into my amp to change the settings to "metal" to play the intro riff, and the rest of the song.
So how do you change?
-
Well done but a bit weak on the pinch harmonics.
-
I have the "Behringer Graphics Equalizer EQ700" and that gives the amp a huge boost, trust me lol only costs $40-$50 Australian too

very good....but you're playing a mix of rtm and some lead at points :P
Im a beginner with the guitar, and im still wondering how to get that metal sound out of the bend, after the intro, some people say that u have to use a pedal, but i think theres another way of doing it, if you know, please let me know,.

The metal sound you are talking about can come from a Distortion Pedal or Amp. I use a Pedal but I also have an amp with loads of Distortion (Line 6 Spider II)
If you just started playing guitar then you most likely have a practice amp which will either have very little distortion or none at all.
I would recomend getting a cheap distortion pedal for about $100 to go straight from your amp set to a clean sound..or you can buy an amp will will probably cost easily over $300 for somthing decent.

Do it for sure.
Just make sure you have heavier guage strings on.
I would recomend nothing thicker than 10-48s
I have 10-52s and they suite me fine.
