  • hello mate im doing my test for my moped soon and was just wondering because i have a brand new piaggio nrg will they charge me a lot more to do it with my own bike or do they even do that :)

  • @fifahacker1231 Hey - sorry for the delay in reply - if you talking about your CBT then it depends of the training centre, most stick to their own bikes for training...but saying that I have used my own Vespa when doing a CBT a few years back. If you are talking about the actual moped full licence test then yes, you are are able to bring your own bike to do your test on at the DVLA test centre's - all the best on the day and ride safe!

  • Sounds like it might be worth holding off for one or two more payslips so you can go the extra few hundred for the Africa Twin. If your heart is set on it then it might be a mistake to get another bike instead that doesn't give you that same exciting feeling.

  • @Stormhead0912 Hi, many thanks for your comment - it is appreciated - I have recently come to the same conclusion. I have been looking at the Tigers, some Aprilia Pegaso's and even some Yamaha TDM's...But, after all is said and done the minute I sat on a Honda I knew it was right for me, so I am holding back and waiting for the right Africa Twin 750 or Transalp 650...take care and ride safe!

  • Man, such a pity the one you wanted didn't suit. Tons of glorious bkes out there though, gotta be one that's perfect for you.

My first bike will be a used 1995 Yamaha SR125! Just bought it this evening and will be delivered in the next 10 days. Yikes! :D

  • @mypheralside Hey, thanks for the comment...I know the right bike for me is out there somewhere, just getting a little impatient!...Great to hear that you have yourself your own stead! I hope its everything that you want to be and ride safe!
