Willie is a fan of Wendel. He heard him in a bar one day for the first time, upon hearing the voice he thought to himself , Waylon didn't say he was going to be here when he turned to look it was Wendel , who later went on to explain ''i catch 'em with Waylon and hit 'em with Wendel'' i first heard Wendel back in the early 80's when he toured the UK and i have been a fan ever since .
