October 31st, 2009: The Levine School of Music celebrates the 4th annual THEARC Arts Day in Washington, DC. The southeast campus of Levine School of Music is based at THEARC.
THEARC (The Town Hall Education Arts & Recreation Campus) is a $27 million, 110,000 square foot, state-of-the art campus located in Washington, DC's Ward 8. Ten cultural and social service agencies are based at THEARC, all of which share the goal of helping underserved children and adults reach their full potential.
Levine School of Music, the Washington DC region's preeminent center for music education, is a welcoming community where children and adults find lifelong inspiration and joy through learning, performing, listening to, and participating with others in music. Our distinguished faculty offers a broad and well-rounded curriculum that provides a strong musical foundation for more than 3,500 students of all ages, abilities and interests at four campuses in Northwest and Southeast DC, the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland, and Arlington, Virginia.
Levine is proud to offer a series of performances and events recognized for their breadth, excellence and imagination. Levine presents outstanding performers in an intimate and friendly community setting. Also, the audience will see a preview of the next generation of performers in our competitions, master classes, and student concerts.
