@LIAR659 he had surgury done on his throat just after this album came out. can't scream much anymore. singing has gotten a lot better since though (like the last comment said).

I think Bert is still awesome,
After the surgery, he had a hard time, just like this video, he was frustrated coz he cannot scream anymore but he had already get used to it!!!
You can see his singing skill has improved in the album Artwork, without those fantastic screaming, but still , awesome.
