Here is 3Rivers Archery's "Stick-N-String" commercial, revised to eliminate impact shots due to the Outdoor Channel's ban. What do you think? Should bowhunting programs show impact shots? Or is the Outdoor Channel turning its back on traditional bowhunting viewers in pursuit of a more "mainstream" demographic?

  • This is insane...Indoor hunters thing their meat comes neat and packed..that the animals weren't alive..they do the same mental game with old people: hide them in care homes so that death and its intrinsic relation with life is masked.

  • Shane you had to cut out the impact shots on a hunting video.

  • this looks really lame compared to the other one

  • yeah true. It depends with me cuz I wanna go hunting but it kinda depends on the animal and what its doing u know.

  • I hunt but many people are put off traditional style archery because they don't like images of animals being killed.

Perhaps we should cater for both so as not to alienate either. It's a pity to put off a 'vegetarian' customer who is willg to pay a thousand dollars for a bow he's just going to use for 3d tournaments or stump shooting.
