The Ultimate Adventure: I rode from Cape Town to Victoria Falls on a BMW R 1200 GS with Moto Aventures. This is the film featuring 32 minutes of action and beautiful scenery from the mostly offroad Adventure. Say hi to Tor and his friends Lisa the Leopard, Morris the Cheetah and a lively bunch of people whilst racing along the Namibian super highway at high speed. Contact Su and John at Motoaventures.com if you fancy doing the same! Music: Gimme just a second instrumental by Backstreet Girls and Icarus and Perfect Breakdown by Elizaveta. All Edit, photo and camera by Tor Sagen

  • You mentioned that you stayed at some very nice hotels, but I looked up Hammerstein Lodge and at first the cost looks steep! In reality, the prices are still amazingly cheap when converted. So, even when staying at fancy hotels did you notice that the cost was still quite reasonable with regards to European or American standards? I just figured that the hotels would still be expensive because tourists are the only ones staying in these places. Looking forward to a reply.

  • Hammerstein has been removed as it's the only "lesser quality" accomodation we stayed in. Still very enjoyable though. Loved the Cheetahs they had there.

  • Haha, I assume Hammerstein was still quite nice! So, was cost quite reasonable at most of the places you stayed or was it still expensive?

  • I loved it and it was only for one night. It's the sleeping accomodation that's not up to the standard compared to the rest of the places we visited. You pay one price and all is covered based on 2 ppl sharing a room. Trip of a lifetime even for me this one here!

  • Thx 4 uploading this Tor. An adventure I have to experience vicariously through u. Especially the part where ur lying down within striking distance of that Jag. :)

  • Thanks for commenting! Unfortunately you only find the Jaguar in South America these days as it's extirpated from North America. Hence no Jag's in Africa. Cheetah however is the species that I am cuddling in this film. The fastest land animal in the world! And also the biggest cat I'd lie down next to:-)
