@rckb59 Sin=wisdom=knowledge=Sumerian God Suen who was the lord of wisdom

@Joshbuckler Suen/Nanna was the Sumerian/Akkadian aka sin was the moon god who was also known as the Lord of wisdom. Sound familiar? Adam and eve ate the fruit, and they gained knowledge of good and evil. Or one could say Sin=wisdom=knowledge

I was refering to the Christian concept of original sin. As in Adam being responsible for death entering the world..etc. I don't know what you mean by the psychological origin.

I'm interested in the poetic and metaphorical definition of original sin. Or in other words, the psychological origin of the original.

This is contradictory within itself and the Bible: If Mary was mortal and if so called "original sin" is transmitted from mother to child! Then either all babies (including Jesus)inherit the guilt and sin of Adam at birth or babies are born as innocent as Adam before his fall (thus inherited sin is false doctrine)

The most Biblical understanding is that the offspring is of the male's seed: the woman merely carries him.

oops, wrong video. I wasn't looking for a rambling, but a more specific definition of what the original sin was.

Hope you've found something by now. I've found wikipedia helpful for that sort of thing.

From the time jesus died untill America was discovered by Colombus. All of the people that lived in the Americas did not here about Jesus. So they died without repenting. Your saying they are all going to hell? What kind of a God does that? I dont want to worship an unjust god like that. ....When one if those people stands befor god and is liek " where am I, who are you?
and god says, " You didnt accept jesus? Go to hell! " the guy is like, who is jesus?

Hey DJllirik, Thanks for commenting! I see that you object to some commonly held beliefs about Jesus' role in our lives; as do I.
