@damnheat2005 do you actually play guitar? If you did (& were any good) you would know this is a simple tune ,for beginner level. Clapton does blues well obviously. Pete wrote original stuff. He appears to be trying to be respectfull of Clapton's turn in playing here. Im sure Townshend knows this 3 chord, 1-4-5 progression, like many even basic pop/rock guitarists do . 'The Seeker' ,'Eyesight To The Blind' to name but 2 Who tunes using same.
