The problem with those shows that are "worse" is that they usually are made with the intent of being disturbing; whereas Evangelion is just naturally disturbing.

i do think gnarls barkley tend to have lighter songs that dont fit evangelion, but the themes and emotions go perfectly with evangelion and this song.
Personally, i like contrast, like having an Evangelion video with the song What A Wonderful World playing
