There were some good riffs in there, but you missed a couple of good opportunities. Like, "What a surprise, she fell in the woods." Or "I've become something much worse... a Republican." Or "Does she know that no boyfriend EVER played the standing-silently-in-the-woods-for-a-long-time practical joke?"
