SINISINTA KITA (Traditional Folk Kundiman) -Mabuhay Singers

One of the earliest Tagalog Kundiman that survived our modern era is "Sinisinta Kita". It should be noted that the melody of the early or traditional Kundiman songs are not melancholic nor sad in character (as compared to the later and classical Kundiman "Art Songs" by Abelardo, Santiago, Buencamino etc.), but their tune and tempo resembles that of the merry and festive traditional Balitaw music of the Tagalog and Visayan regions. Sung by the Mabuhay Singers under the music supervision of Leopoldo Silos sometime in 1958, this vintage phonograph recording is a real classic.
