where you play on a pad too much and then you play on a real marching drum and your hands SUCK.

i have this pad its alright to learn on until it gave me severe pad hands when i moved to a real snare. to me it feels like the pad is absorbing all your attacks and there is a lack of dynamic contrast when playing. I highly suggest buying the Invader V3 like i did. best investment ever.

@rodriguezaarondream I'll have to find one at a dci show this summer and have a look.

@garrettmillerdrums One of my friends got the Xymox and i didn't really like it. it was TOO slick, my sticks kept sliding everywhere. I have the V3 and its the best I've ever had haha

@drummrboyee Why not just play double strokes on all your drums? Sound issues? I always hated that I had a time frame to play my instrument.

@ironspideravatar What do you mean? How do I practice while watching Family Guy? lol It's incredibly easy...turn on Family Guy...start playing. ;-)

Is it better to have a less bouncy pad to build snare chops or an Offworld percussion V3 practice pad?

@patman173 I don't know, it's up to you and what you like. IMO, practice pads don't build chops, practice builds chops.

@garrettmillerdrums well a really bouncey pad like this vater one would take more time to build those chops then any other pad.

@patman173 lol, as if "chops" have an end point. Just play.
