Thanks for cooking real food. Those steaks- too thick for such a thin pan. Try splitting them in half. Worcestershire & soy sauces are an OK marinade for the grill but not for this: too much sugar that quickly scorches. That's why the steaks are black outside & raw inside. Try oiling the steaks with something like olive oil. Then they'll fry up properly. And you can't get a stove too hot for steak- the hotter the better. Just keep turning them over about every minute so they won't burn.
@backpackinonline , The entire process took about 1/2 hour and about 3 fluid ounces of fuel. Kind of expensive as far as fuel goes. Nowadays I am using my paint can wood gasification stove. I still have and love my Trangia.
I own the 25 and the 27 and theres many trangia videos on youtube but everyone is cooking water or noodles and rice. the thing is way more capable of doing great meals with a lil time n care of what your cooking. depends on the size of the trangia used ofcourse also. But about time something more that watching a 10 minute video of someone boiling water or noodles, rice, or some freeze dried trash. everyone knows it can do that i wish more people would put some up like this.. Thank you keep it up
About time someone thinks alike and made a video to show it thanks dude. Subscribe for this one.. For everyone else that see's this video and keeps makeing these trangia videos boiling water n just showing it off and doing freeze dried shit and rice n ramen noodles everyone knows that can be done. put the thing to the test not everyone is backpacking some may be traveling and car camping and prefer the quiet simple trangia instead of gas burner. and may have fresh foods in a cooler with them
"Cooking" on Trangia's is tricky. Boiling water is another thing. As long as you are attentive you can cook anything. I usually keep the handle on and lift the pan when it starts cooking too hot. Nice video.
@brimstone33 Great constructive advice - THANKS!

I noticed you said that the fuel was a bit expensive. Try using methyl hydrate, it's a gas line antifreeze and you can get a gallon of it for $10.
