  • Thank you for all of your comments, dear ones. Bebop guitar is just hobby for me, a distraction, not serious as my real thing. Please check out my "People Music" Vid on you tube.

  • @linusjazz I'm pretty sure he uses a variety of Fender amps on the reg. He seems to be using a jazz chorus right there, but I don't think that's the usual. I've seen an interview where he says he likes using a Fender Vibrolux the best. I've seen him use a Fender Deluxe Reverb at Smalls before, and his settings are really interesting; he basically keeps everything at a minimum.

  • awesome!

  • @William102582 I'd like to know how Randy was lost in his playing? There were lines that he played that clearly outlined the changes, then others that purposefully ventured outside the harmony. Trust me that Peter Berstein would not play a gig with Randy if he didn't think that he could play the changes. Even studying with Mr. Berstein is a big deal, as some of my friends will attest to. Berstein is great, no doubt, but Johnston is no slouch either (they both comp very sympathetically aslo)

  • very cool

  • Nothing compliments a guitar like another guitar. And nothing compliments a fine guitarist like another fine guitarist. A pure treat.

  • I love how peter plays without the pinky in his single likes and is never in a "box" or shape...he's all over the fretboard..which is so much a part of his sound.

  • @jazzguitardotcom 4am ! You must be a jazz musician. Peter Bernstein is very lyrical. I'll have to give Randy Johnston and listen.

  • cool

  • Peter's Monk-esque stuff and fluidity are on another level. And Randy's in and out harmonies make me wanna practice right now. And it's 4AM here.
