  • Everyone keeps saying he was completely random but I'm pretty sure Garland talks of him when he is explaining how he and Kuja are planned to look after the planet. Maybe he didn't say "He is called Necron" which is why people are all "DERRRR?!" We're talking a godlike being in charge of entire planets/existance itself. Very few would know much about him unless he appeared constantly "Hallo creatures, how are yooooo?" - which he didn't so the fact he almost "came from nowhere" makes sense.

  • @ZAnimeMaker Like I agree Penance was hard. I never faced him, personally, but I've heard enough about him to know. But ozma is like LOLOL UR FUCKED NOW

  • This boss might seem to come out of nowhere, but it's the perfect way to end the game in hindsight. It's all symbolic. Necron is said to be an embodiment of Kuja's fear of deatrh. The moral of this story is the purpose of life, which zidane shows that it is to positively influence the lives of others around you. Necron desires to bring an end to all life, believing it to be completely meaningless. It's a conflict of beliefs, and Zidane's belief must be strongenough to perservere.

  • the screams haunt your s0:00ul

  • Grand Cross is the reason why I hate Exdeath and Necron... Just kidding :P

  • Fucking grand cross/neutron Ring. I can't tell you how many times I thanked Square for making the animation for grand cross so long, since it allowed regen to build up rather nicely to absorb Neutron ring...

Unlike sephiroth, or a few other notable final bosses, this mother was actually difficult first time through.

  • Commentary: I actually figured out why 3 makes sense and isn't a giant space flea from no where.

Kuja is fighting for his right to exist. However, Zidane's party is also fighting for the right to exist. Now, thematic end-battles are big in Final Fantasy - therefore, it doesn't make sense to thematically fight for existence against someone who's fighting for the same thing.

Therefore: Necron, the embodiment of non-existence.

    BOOM. Rationalized.

  • One of the most disturbing song i ever heard! I mean the beginning...
