This is the first of a series of paintings that Kang Yoo Hwa has been working on for this album. The original concept is from a series of photograps that I had taken for this album. When the painter approached me about the possibility of painting the cover art, I gave her some pictures to work with. What came back to me was astonishing. Her work is amazing, and I feel that she really captured the atmosphere I'm seeking for this album. I will be commissioning several more paintings (including a back cover) for "nostalgia", and plan to incorporate the original photography throughout the physical content. More on "nostalgia" coming soon. Kang Yoo Hwa has been an amazing artist to work with, and I look forward to seeing more from her.
