This is the finale from the Columbia film, "Reveille with Beverly," and features Ann Miller in fine form with some of the most rapid taps you'll hear from any dancer.

  • I'm surprised sparks weren't shooting out of her shoes.

  • This is simply remarkable. Very stylish - very sensual.

  • The only dancer who could ever compare to Ann Miller would be Cyd Charisse.

No male dancer in Hollywood was really worthy to dance with these two ladies. Gene Kelly was great, Astaire was good but overrated. The Nicholas Brothers were really the two greatest male dancers, in spite of the smokescreen of the Astaire/Kelly debate, but the Nicholas Brothers probably get passed over because of race rather than actual merit. Of course, today there are no real dancers at all outside of ballet.

  • Okay folks, who agrees that today's Dancing With the Stars has NOTHING on Ann's dance! There seems to be a sore lack of talent these days when in comparison to THIS! Ann Miller is FANTASTIC!

  • Who needs CGI Speciall Effects and Blockbusters when you got those LEGS!

  • @ 1:53 the soldiers were probably so awed @ Ann Miller's amazing tap dancing :D

  • Amazingly, the 'drilling-the-troops' tap at 2:13 is almost exactly what Ann did 40 years later in the military finale of "Sugar Babies." If she's in her 20s here, she had to be in her 60s during Sugar Babies, and even wore a similar costume in that number, with the same stunning legs. OMG!!

  • AMAZING Ann Miller at her best. Simply phenomenal; her best film.

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt??

amazing. every time i see a new number from her i'm amazed. EVERY. TIME.

  • Ann MIller was my dad's favorite. Her legs were just unreal, even to a great age.

    Thanks,

    Jon (goneglobal35d'aughtcalm)
