This is a little promo video (documentary-style slideshow) featuring clips of the 12 songs on Dale Turner's MANNERISMS MAGNIFIED (released June 1, 2010 on INTIMATE AUDIO). Please enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at its unique recording/creative process!

In the tradition of musicians like Jon Brion, Elliott Smith, Joseph Arthur, and Sufjan Stevens (among others), I wrote, recorded, performed (all the instruments—voices, guitar, bass, real acoustic drums, piano, accordion, and mandolin), arranged & produced all this music myself (in my living room & bedroom office). I also did all the artwork/illustrations for the CD/DigiPak—for a true intimate audio AND visual experience! ;-) It took over four years, but was worth it!!! (Special thanks to Eddy Schreyer @ Oasis Mastering and analog audio ace Robert Wawoe.) I hope you enjoy!! Dale Turner

@ckmate1977 Thanks a ton, R! So cool you checked this out :-) Yeah, I did it all in my "bedroom office"/living room (drums). It was pretty rough!! But a blast :-) I recorded many other songs, but only acoustic guitars/bass for those (ended up not feeling right to go in this collection... and I still need to finish lyrics for 'em). Another I recorded completely, except for vox. Was too much in the same vein as "Taken," so I left it off. ALL of 'em I'll do live, but gotta finish lyrics for 'em!
