  • wow just listening to this song defines military brats.. ive been through 9 different schools by the time i was in 9th grade.. Having to deal with my father gone all the time, and havent lived in a place longer than 3 years.. Kinda sad once u think about it, never really having a home but its a lifestyle we've always known... just have to keep trucking along :/

  • this reminds me of all the friends i've made and lost over the years its true though we never really have a home just where our parents have been stationed for now

  • As an Army Brat I have been to many schools and lived in many places. In 8 years my dad deployed 5 times. This is the story of my life! With in the first week of school I got so many "I'm sorry"s and "Wow that got to suck." from the kids here. They only make me miss my fellow military brats even more. Miss you all!! <3 Wish we got to have more together :)

  • B.R.A.T. Born, Raised, and Transfered. I myself am a Coastie brat. This song does all the brats proud.

  • B.R.A.T.--Brave, Resilient, Adaptable, and Trustworthy. Here today, gone tomorrow, we are the the ones who are Born, Raised And Transferred. Here's to all military brats, past, present, and future, who have had to stay at home in fear while their mother or father was deployed, who had to pack up and leave just as soon as they began to get used to a place, and who know that it is better to stay in one place, surrounded by friends and family members who don't leave for months at a time.

  • this is soooo us. losing friends we worked so hard to get in an instant...moving all the time...it may sound like fun and an adventure to others, but it seriously sucks. it hurts soooo bad. 6 moves in 9 years...kansas, kentucky, connecticut, virginia (two diff homes), back to kansas, & now texas. We'll be moving again this summer. I'm almost afraid to make friends anymore, it just hurts too bad to lose them over & over again like a scar that keeps reopening :(
