Contemplative film on the sparrows and starlings in the garden of my San Francisco home who have acquired a taste for the kibble food I leave out for the feral cat colony that feeds there. For the musical soundtrack I used a Shaker hymn, "Holy Mother's Protecting Chain," and Ravel's "Oiseaux Tristes" (Mirroirs, II). The quote is adapted from the New Testament, Matthew 6:26.

@Pollytopia, Thank you, Polly, it was a wonderful experience to film this, and to later sit and reflect on it. It brings me joy to observe life as it is. I think that the art of photography, and film (which is an extension of it), is truly about capturing the moment and making us stop to take a closer, deeper look.
