  • Thanks for the comment summer-at 01:30 in the film we indicate Hsi Kai was plucked from a Cantonese flower boat by the powerful Chinese Pirate Zheng Yi who married her-and she took command his already powerful fleet when he died in a typhoon. She was the one who built the fleet up to over 50,000 men and challenged for control of the S. China Sea-while some might attribute her success to luck, others would argue (and we would agree with them) that skill & talent were what made her so successful!

  • Everything in this video is true but its still a little misleading. The Pirate confederation that Cheng commanded had been established for many years. It had over 50000 men at one time. No doubt the lady was an amazing commander but she didn't build the organization of the Pirate confederacy. She just happened to be the right woman in the right place at the right time. LUCK
