Watch this video on my site http://www.lisae.me.uk/16627 for product links, tips and more info.

The second instalment of my chat with Madeleine Marsh looking at her vintage collection and the history behind it. Once again this could have been an hour long...so much to say so many amazing vintage products! I'll save the 80's to present day for another time....maybe another vintage week in the future. Hope you have fun hearing all about the history of our favourite thing!

  • This makes me so happy to be a lady. :)

  • I absolutely loved these two videos! I'm fascinated by the entire history of makeup and I would also love to see history on Egyptian, Geisha makeup as well, it would be lovely. I could watch these for hours!

  • You helped me write my university essay, how I am in debt to you! Thanks!

  • Thank you for posting this...It is very educational...

  • if only this were my history class...

  • such beautiful things! they really do tell the history of women throughout the ages. Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience with us :)

  • You've done a great work doing that! It's interesting, absolutely interesting and full of details! thanks a lot!

  • wow!

  • Omg how interesting! I loved the mascara, how it used to be! Fascinating(:

  • So interesting. Makes me wish makeup in the 21st century was as evolutionary or politically/socially entwined. Nowadays styles and trends change so quickly and there is this mish mash of looks that makes it hard to pinpoint what the big looks were for 2000s and 2010s. So far I can only think: dewy skin & nude/natural lips. :S Sounds so boring compared to the other decades doesn't it?

  • I love these videos, it's so interesting.

Lisa could you make a video specifically on how to do 1940s make up as I know the liner and lips where done a little different then from the 50s.

    Thanks

  • I bought Madeleine's book because of those videos and a I can say: was the best book i ever read about make up!! The book is as fantastic as those videos.

Lisa, thank you so much for introduce me to her and her work! :)
