  • Looking for an M114 video and ... tank drifting? This was designed as as smaller recon buddy to the immortal M113. It flunked badly in Vietnam because the M113 was more mobile and carried more people to boot. One in Ft Lewis with an RPG hole in the side. . Good to see this one put to good use. I'm gonna re-upload this on my channel if you don't mind.

  • I got to ride in this, but when i got to ride in it the 50. cal was mounted on it :)

  • I have been inside of this place before they used to have some good shit!

  • Is that a mini gun on the back.

  • I wish the M114 I used in the 60's ran like this one! Hooah!

  • 5.7L TBI

    VIN Code K

    210 hp @ 3600 rpm

    300 lb.-ft. @ 2800 rpm

The new M114 Custom we are building now has the 6.0 Vortec in it

  • Hello WGTactical

What engine does this beast have in it? What is the Hp and Torque and at what RPM?

    Thanks

  • I can't argue with that, brother! That they are! I had plans on purchasing one back in the 80's and restoring it but that dream unfortunately never materialized.

Glad you've got two to play with. When Atlanta explodes and burns for the second time you guys will be ready to deal with that which boils over into your neighborhood.

  • Well, these are about the sexiest "armored jeeps" on the planet...at least they are when I get finished with them ;)

  • Additionally, to the comments below:

If I recall correctly the lower side armor of the M114 is only 3/4" think aluminum at 0degree slope. Both the M2 AP and M14 API 30-06 rds can penetrate up to 7/8" of homogenous steel armor at 100 yds. Both these rds are available on the civilian market.

Upper side armor is only 1.25" thick aluminum at 0 degrees. Easily penetrated probably by even .50 ball let alone AP.

These were built as "armored jeeps", nothing more.

    You better up armor.

  • WG, just Google the words M114 and Death Trap and you'll see how many hits you get describing the vehicle with those words.

I suppose going up against gang bangers they'd be better performers unless one of them had a .50 cal rifle with A.P. ammo. Then the words "Death Trap" could probably be brought back into play.

Seriously, if .50 cal is a potential threat you might want to consider uparmoring at least the driver's compartment with some stand off laminate aluminum.

  • Most of what I've been told seems to be centered around low power and poor cross country mobility...dont recall anything said about being a death trap. But then again, anything short of an Abrams is a death trap. Looking at the other track vids from jameskello kinda proves we've worked out the "low power" thing ;)
