The Life of the Air Traffic Controller / Viața controlorului de trafic aerian

ROvACC (of VATSIM fame) presents:
Mini-documentary about the controllers of the Air Traffic Service Provider in Romania, ROMATSA. It shows the activity in the control tower at Bucharest-Otopeni airport and at the radar station Bucharest Approach.

It was filmed with Sony XDCAM EX3 full HD camera on the day with the worst snowstorm of the year. This was a school project for the 1st semester. Directing and editing done by me while cinematography done by Alex Simion.

Pana una alta pentru a te pregati si a te familiariza cu procedurile iti recomand sa te inscrii in ROvACC.org unde vei invata si pune in practica chiar procedurile reale din manualele PIAC-ATS (sintetizate de ei pentru a fi digerabile).

video very well done! fortunetely we do not have snow here. birds, kites, hot unmaned ballons, laser pens, but no snow.. mm.. is it just my impression or the language sounds a bit like italian? I don´t speak italian, or romanian. Oh, and I love those chairs.. they look to be comfortable for the job.

@andyosenzatie1 unitatea de dirijare Bucuresti Approach este responsabila de sectorul Bucuresti TMA care are ca zona de responsabilitate o suprafata de aproximativ 110 pe 90 km dreptunghiulara si care dirijeaza aeronavele din interiorul acestui sector pana la 5330 metri altitude. Astfel el se ocupa de aeorportuile Otopeni/Baneasa si in unele cazuri de aerodromurile Clinceni/Strejnic. Iar pentru ca nu este sectorizat aceasta o face un singur controlor. More at ROvACC.
