hey, are chaco z/1s supposed to fit like this? they look kind of short on you. i only ask this because my z/1s fit similar to yours and i almost sized up in fear that my toes were too close to coming off of the front of the sandal.

is this a chaco sandal?

The most effective and efficient stride is a forefoot strike, not a heel strike. The huge heel in the chaco sandal promotes heel strike, and the bio centric arch support actually stretches your arch out more than normal. Both of which are major causes of foot fatigue and pain. The foot was not made to heel strike or be forced into a specific motion. Before promoting a biometric shoe you should understand the biometrics of the foot.

what about underpronators? are your sandals any good for us?

I'm going to assume that by underpronators you mean rolling to the outside of the foot. That's technically called supination. About 10 to 15% of the general population supinates. Anytime you can wear footwear that helps support the foot properly you are going to be ahead. The Chaco sandal is great about locking the heel down and supporting the inside or longitudinal arch. It is not posted or built up along the inside of the sandal so it won't aggrevate your supination. Hope this helps.
