As a cloud appreciator I find this sequence pretty disturbing. Not only do cumulus clouds break the monotony of blue skies with their interesting shapes and provide welcome respite from the relentless heat of the sun on hot days, they also give useful cues to glider pilots where the thermals are and are a delight to watch from above and below as they drift by.
What's wrong with spreading the clouds around the sky and letting the sun shine through? Many pics online prove how beautiful this is.
