hip-hop with brazilian music influence!!

@mociutesblynai I agree yandigles, rap is not what people seem to define it as today. I remember well when the local bay area news did some coverage on a new street fad called rapping. They interviewed guys beat boxing and rhyming on street corners for money. Some seem to define rap as everything that is bad with hip-hop though hip-hop to me is born of TV culture.

@yandiggles hmm. why is this hip-hop? as far as i know hip-hop is a culture that consists of the 5 main elements: MCing, DJing, Breakdance, Graffiti and Beatbox. Combine the first 2 and u get Rap music. i have no idea why people started to call rap music something thats on the radio/tv and whats in the underground as hip-hop. rap stands for rhytmic american poetry, doesnt it? so id say if its poetry rhymed on a beat its rap. feel free to correct me if im wrong.

rap is what you see on the tv. hip-hop is all elements combined, with intelligent subtext. well at least thats what it means to me. krs one says it better though :D

@yandiggles Define the difference of rap to hip-hop. I have been asked this question before.
