READ THE TEXT IN THE BEGINNING, I BEG ON YOU.

Puh... Alright.

This is the japanese version of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMVYcItCoEg

To explain why I did this, I am studying Japanology, but am only in my first semester now, so those lyrics are... not exactly spophisticated in the least. Especially noticable through my overuse of the words "Shinjitsu" (Truth) and "Sagasu" (Searching). Those two are pretty much basic Anime Vocabulary for every Fangirl/Fanboy.

Grammar and Pronounciation are probably, as mentioned, also partly incorrect. I apologize. I just love the sound of Japanese and wanted to do this at any cost.

My voice sound horrible in the higher notes, which is very noticable annoying the two times I sing "Eien ni" (In eternity) in this song. I tried to edit it as good as possible.

Please be gentle. I know that parts of this suck, so, if you feel the need to point that out, at least give an elaborate reason why it sucked and how I could do better. Thanks.

Lyrics Translation:

In my heart I
want to protect the truth,

From this time on I
Will go on a search for wings, from now on
In eternity.

In the clear blue sky,
my star is revived.

In the dark red sky,
I am awakening from my sleep.

Deep in their hearts everybody
is searching for the truth, from now on
in eternity.

There's a contradiction, so what you said is a lie.
Checkmate, this is my logic.
I will search the truth in eternity.

  • ... ... ... I believe the proper phrase here is... TOTALLY EPIC!!

T-to be able to write a song in Japanese with only 3 months of experience in the language... That is so incredibly impressive. I've been studying longer than that and I'm not even good enough to critique the grammar and stuff. ;_; But I agree that the pronunciation sounds pretty darn good.

There are so many parts that I love, but I particularly love the way the words flow in the "...ima kara eien ni" lines. ^^

  • @RayofHope3579 Well, to be honest, I was trying to learn Japanese long before that already... almost 2 years. It's just that I wasn't really doing it intensively and thus only learned very few things in those 2 years. My "skills" only started actually developing when I entered Uni. ^^;

"Sagashi-Ikimasu, Ima Kara (Eien ni)" is my favorite part as well. XD Renyouke-Masu Verb combinations, followed by a quick passage for the win! XD

Thank you so much for your comment. ^^

  • Great job! I'm only learning Japanese myself so I can't judge the grammar (especially considering the fact that I learn it by myself at home) but it sounds amazing!

Your pronunciation is pretty neat, to my taste!

  • @ExileChan Thank you. ^^

You learn it at home? You should really try taking lessons! Trust me, ambitions to learn such a unique language without guidance are doomed to fail! I know from experience. X-x

  • wow you're even awesome in japanes i know that you will have a future and im totally the double of admired youre awesome

  • EPIC

  • @Jlcthemouse Well, Russian is pretty complicated, I think any other language would look fairly simple compared to it. Maybe it will be simpler to learn Japanese once you mastered Russian, haha^^ No problem at all!

  • The reason why I <3 this song is :

0:41 to 1:14 !!!!!! And ur voice is soooo lovely! Love love love this!

  • You sound pretty good singing in Japanese but you might need some singing lessons (no offense, just giving a tip). You'd be surprised how much better you can sound if you practice healthy breath support and trying to use a different tone for singing than your average talking tone (depending on what register you're using). I learned that stuff from being in choir for all 4 years of high school.

Anyways, keep working on what you're doing because you're doing a great job!

  • @OtakuNeni You're welcome. Ah, I don't really have the time for lessons, so it's the way it is now.

Well, it's not very hard for me because, frankly, I'm Russian and Russian language is similar to Japanese. I mean, the order of words in sentences and some of pronunciation, too. At least that's what it seems to be like from my point of view.
