Ah, the 1984 opening ceremony! The first Summer Olympics I really got into! I was 11 that year, got a tv for my birthday and so spent that summer taking full advantage of being on school holidays and staying up as late as I could manage to watch as much live coverage on Olympic Grandstand as I could! VERY FOND memories! :D

@DanielTAHK I don't want to turn this into a debate but I feel I should respond accordingly.You seem to put a great emphasis on the paneling event -what I understood this to be was an ENTHUSIASTIC participation of the spectators in attendance to be a "PART" of the festivities-a sense of belonging, which personifies friendship and a UNITY! Also the Pioneer heritage history, The Black Jazz Ensemble, the negro spiritual and The Hollywood Stage homage-JUST OUTSTANDING!Far from MEDIOCRITY or "normal"

Each one has its own analysis, but I was talking about the lack of new elements in this opening ceremony, considering each olympic games have to be better and more inovative than the last ones, and no just have an idea from the other's games, like the panels, and I think the CEREMONY of these games in Los Angeles were not so great as the others, the games itself were normal, records, several nations and viewers.

Moscow 80 for example were very emotive games, LA 84 were not.
