What the fuck do you know about Afghanistan, and how it was there? I had plenty of Afghani friends in my school, and they have told me how it was there. My older brother and my father were in there with in a year of "invasion". Until CIA started giving guns and stingers to Taliban, all they were doing there was building roads, schools and factories.

The USSR was another imperialist power in Afg - it waned to push south into the India Ocean - it would destabilize Pakistan - using criminal ethno fascist Pashtun in Afghanistan. It did build many things in Afghanistan - but they were all for the purposes of easing their way into the country. Salang tunnel was a big project - which enabled their rapid invasion subsequently - and many others of the like. Naive ppl should not be fooled - there was nothing Marxist about them or their local puppets.
