BLOOD BROTHERS
Music: Richard Currier
Words: Jim Piazza
Vocals: Judy Quay
The best of friends the best of boys
Too young to think ahead
With jackknives raised in secret vows
They cut till fingers bled
In backyard forts of tablecloths and daddy's two-by-fours
They fought as one against UFO's in peanut butter wars.
Blood Brothers, Blood Brothers,
Sworn to one another,
They called each other brother
Blood Brothers, Blood Brothers,
Sworn to one another
They called each other brother in blood.
The endless games of summer end
As boys turn into men
One stayed at home one ran away
And dreamed about his friend
The scars remain where blood was drawn
Two men of different minds
One married young one came undone
But bloods the tie that binds.
Blood Brothers, Blood Brothers,
Sworn to one another,
They called each other brother
Blood Brothers, Blood Brothers,
Sworn to one another
They called each other brother in blood.
The best of friends, now worlds apart one dying much too soon
Its in his blood the doctors said but how they never new...
Blood Brothers, Blood Brothers,
Sworn to one another,
They called each other brother in blood.

There are some songs in life, and there are some people in life who are so wonderful that they defy explanation. This song would not be possible if not for three of them. For dear Richard Currier, who wrote the music, Jim Piazza, who wrote the lyrics, and the melodic voice of Judy Quay. Pure excellence and pure heartfelt emotion. Because of them, "Blood Brothers" is made possible.
In viewing these short film clips, please donate to the cause that has become Dame Elizabeth Taylor's life mission for over two decades. The eradication of AIDS in the world. Until such time, "The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation" funds programs and organization that give direct care to the population of millions affected with HIV/AIDS...whether it is direct care or related/ associated services. So many people are now living longer with AIDS/HIV due to advances in viral medication technology, but the impact of living a life with AIDS is far reaching. AIDS affects all of us, in one way or another. Generations of young people are not conscious of the 1980's. The face of AIDS has changed since the time when those who were ill were visibly stigmatized, akin to being lepers. Now, those with HIV/AIDS live life among the general population attempting to cope with the disease. Sometimes, silently. Emotionally, the impact is just the same as those first diagnosed. Fear. The only solution is to rid the world of this disease, therefore opening a technological highway aimed to ignite the remedy to so many other diseases as well.
Any amount of time or money will push this development ahead, not behind...never behind!
Thank you from my heart,
Richard Bassett
