I fell in love the last week or so with the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album 'Raising Sand', which won a bunch of Grammys and critics' praises. This is one of the songs that drew me in, which I can now add to my VERY long list of dark, haunting songs that always fascinate me. This was written by Gene Clark, one the The Byrds founders, and the original version that appears on 'The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard and Clark' (with Doug Dillard of The Dillards), is just as exquisite as the cover from Plant/Krauss.
Anyway, I spontaneously put together this rendition together with a montage of lonely black and white photos, since the song somehow reminds me of a Civil War era lament. Of all the musical genres that I sing, I think these sad, lonely songs fit my voice best. Enjoy!

After you had told me about your latest 'love', I imediately put the CD in the player on my way home. And ... I re-discovered it ;) My open question was, what your favourite song would be... now I know.
Great interpretation Zane!
