  • @Zecronious what are you talking about?

The Speaker was in the computer case connected with two wires to the motherboard . I still have my xt computer with 32mb hdd.

  • @BagOfMagicFood Stupid douchebag. Do you even know what you're talking about? I mean really.... At the time Kroz came out the only speaker you had was in your hardrive. Yes... Hardrives have speakers... That's the little beep you hear evertime your computer starts up. So cut them some slack. This is one of the most iconic games of all time and you're pissy cause they didn't have the speakers we have today.

Go jump off a fucking bridge, prick.

  • @dianafuse I played Dungeons of Kroz first. I was 3, and I played it allllll the time... and I still cant beat that game 20 years later! Search for "roguelike" games for more modern games such as this, like Dwarf Fortress.

  • Oh my god, here it is. My very first computer game! :) Played it to death, until the night was over and the sun coming up, on a Toshiba 1200 laptop.

  • I don't know, I remember it being pretty fast like this.

  • It looks like the speed might be too high because of it running in an emulator. I'm not sure; I can't remember quite right; I know it was fast, but something looks just a tad too fast. Emulators are great, but nothing beats an old machine to run these games at the right timing. I first played the Kroz games on a 4.75 Mhz XT 8086 PC clone with a CGA monitor. That machine ran them just perfectly, even if I put it in Turbo mode (CTRL-F8 for 10 mhz overclock)

  • Man, these sound effects are wild...

  • Loved those Kroz games...
