WTF happened to equality and giving merit to those who deserve it? If a woman can do a job at least as good as a man, they deserve the same pay! If you suck at a job regardless of your gender you don't deserve being payed well. You can't tell a human, you are not getting this job because you're a woman, is that a fair trial?

I am laughing at Congress wanting equal pay because when I was intern in d.c. in 2005-06 I dated a congressional aide who told me that there is no uniform salaries for staffers who work for Senator and congress people. The politician can pay their help form $7,000 to $27,000 and health insurance is not free like teh Senators and members of congress, no benefits like using the House gym for free. Congress better have fair pay for their own employees!

if a woman doesn't like her pay, THEN GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY...duh, it's not rocket science...if she has the skills to do a good job then the market will take care of her just like it takes care of the men...the reason why women don't get paid well (if it's true) is because women can't compete with men and they know it...if I were a software company and a woman was the best programmer in the tri-state area, why would I refuse to hire her?...
