Nick Smith Challenged on NZ Climate Change Scheme Scam!

Raw footage of NZ Environment Minister Nick Smith being questioned by Will Ryan on the legitimacy of our Emissions Trading Scheme. Mr Smith argues that this is completely different to a tax even though it hurts the economy and individuals in the same manner, with 3.5 cents per litre being charged on fuel and an extra $60 per year on household power costs among other charges.

I argue the basis of this "action", with New Zealand only contributing 0.4% of total man made CO2, which is around 3.2% of total atmospheric CO2. Keep in mind that 95% of greenhouse gas is water vapour, and you soon get the picture of how little man can effect global temperature averages.

The planet has been cooling slightly for the last decade but has warmed 0.7 degrees Celsius in the past century, even if this warming is all due to CO2 and not Solar cycles, sun spots flares, and magnetic pole shifts on earth (all recorded by NASA) the effect of man made CO2 is still close to immeasurable.

Saying that we can tax/charge society in to environmental or economic prosperity is absurd! I'm all for preserving and restoring NZ's natural diversity, but this is pseudo environmentalism, crafted to pull at the heart strings of well meaning people. Light, Oxygen, Water and CO2 are building blocks of life, big government is not! The real agenda is a global carbon tax and trading forums to profit the people currently behind the fractional reserve, debt based money system. Don't believe me? Excellent job! Nick Smith is a joke of a man, with a joke of an ETS policy. I would love to know how much he and Key invested in Forestry before the brought in the ETS. I bet if asked they would refuse to answer, or give the standard con artist John Key reply of "I don't know".

On the other hand, engaging the argument something should be done even with the scientific uncertainties involved. Why not reduce taxes and interest rates? that would be the real innovation in this "uncertain" time
