  • I am black, and my mothers father was part indian, she does not celebrate thanksgiving. She says there is not thanks in the mass murder of native american. She refuses to go buy turkeys full of hormones when her fathers people were able to raise fresh healthy turkeys before their land was stolen. Being 3/4 black and 1/4 indian, she feels the pain on both sides. needles to say she is very politically active.

  • Thank you for posting this, it's been a few years since I've attended The Day of Mourning.

I'm working on forgiving all those who have oppressed us.

    Peace
