Duke University historian Timothy Tyson's book "Blood Done Sign My Name" is being turned into a movie. The story follows a murder in 1970 in the town of Oxford, N.C. and ensuing racial tensions. One of Tyson's intellectual heros, Dr. John Hope Franklin, makes a guest appearance.
I responded to a casting call for 1960's cars and got to take part in the cemetary scenes of this movie. They gave me a part as an NC state trooper, too. When you see the film you'll see my 1960 Pontiac Catalina and 1963 Pontiac Bonneville convertible in the background. Mr. Tyson was very gracious and also signed my copy of his book.
