In my opinion, going to boca chica beach kind of gives you that "going away from the city" experience. Thats how I feel, bach access 5...its something like that, but something about driving through the island just doesn't give me that run away feeling.

Too many broken bottles, shells, and sea weed nowadays at Boca Chica Beach. Plus lets not forget the large amounts of drugs being smuggled through the area due to the Rio Grande River being right next to it. Now you have to put up with constantly being harrassed by the Border Patrol agents out there aswell. South Padre Island is alot cleaner and safe. Im not a tourist by the way. I live 20 minutes away from both.

I always liked Boca Chica better than Padre. Let's the tourists have the island.
