I know the situation better than you. It's true that BSA once did support it and then pulled it, but Intel itself had no position of its own. Go ahead - try to find a press release that states Intel directly supported the bill. You won't find it.

The difference is Intel pulled support for SOPA, they did support it at one point until they got bad press, so they pulled support. Any company even remotely thinking of supporting SOPA or supporting SOPA any given amount of time doesn't deserve to live.
