Hi guys this is a great video. I'm wondering what is the max weight for a pilot in a 1-26. I have a chance to buy one but I'm wondering how much weight I have to lose to
be able to fly her.

Thanks SO MUCH for posting this! I was in the Mohawk Soaring Club as a student in the 60's and 70's (trained by Wentorf, Bundy and Norton), and I flew a 1-26 on this exact ridge many times. I've replayed this scene in my mind hundreds of times, and here it is! Mainly I remember working the ridge in the fall, with full New England colors. And once a 10,000-ft wave over the valley in winter. If you notice a lot of views, that'll be me, watching over and over....

Thanks! Great memories-I have about 40 hours in 1-26's-tough little ship & pretty efficient for a primary airplane-for non-flyboys, the [straight] "yaw string" on the canopy indicates coordinated flight--cheers
