I'll have to ask my horse next time I "speak" to him, just what he sees! ! ! LOL I'm with your pauline608.

wow, that's really fascinating! i knew horses have a wide range of vision, but i didn't know they don't focus their vision for close-up objects
-
does that mean they cant see people probably

It's really cool. Horses have two different kinds of vision. :) Thats why they get spooked sometimes at little things, because like he said, it focuses in and out and sometimes looks as though it's jumping out at them.

Good old Josh, one cool bass player hehe

I never knew horses lost sight of a jump when the got close to it. That's probably why I have trouble controlling the more stubborn horses at my riding school when I go into a jump :S

haha, you go girl!!

Wow, seeing that I think my horse is amazing even though she doesn't like jumping that much, just curious though, if the horse looses sight of the jump 3m away, how do horse know that ditches are ditches when they are up really close to them because they can't see into the ditch from a distance, only up close but then if should be too blury to see. Any ideas?
I am surprised that you can read a book with your head stuck so firmly up your own backside.
