because nobody gets blindsided in parking lots...unless they go zooming out without looking, as is likely to happen now that they have a false sense of security created by these sensors...Most of the time it's the car that's backing out that hits another car...not the other way around. Another $200 item to replace when your bumper falls off during a 5 mph minor speed bump.
