4-6ft at newy today.. pipe had 4 people out.. just like i said dude.. i went out flatty.. only 3 other blokes.. i have proven my point that newy is empty during good swell.. the bank was packed though.. groper had 2 people out.. newy beach had 1 person at the point

there was a 10ft swell not even a month ago
but i have to say when there is a big NE the place to go has to be blacksmiths break wall. Gets epic big, siick barrels and not to crowded (y)

maxing pipe with only 4 people out... you sir are dilusional. as soon as any reef in newy gets the right swell and wind all the local "pros" swarm all over it massively. but i agree with you about nobbys... but when nobbys works everywhere else is too big and its southerly. i dont think i have ever seen five people out anywhere unless its over 8 foot... and no where in newy has worked that big in a long long time

On a massive day at pipe you get maybe max 4 people out, the only reef that gets really packed is flatty, groper never gets that packed, the spot you sometimes get 5 people, thats on a weekend only. because of all the kids that milk off of it.. but when the nobbys bank gets good the crowd is just fucked.. most packed wave in newcastle. other than newy beach and bar beach

Of the beach/sand breaks I would have to say Nobby's bank back in the day was amazing though these days depending what you prefer I'd say Newcastle for a heavier wave, barrels and hookups to shorebreak and Merewether Point and beach and Dixon Park probably for more of a carve it up wall ride. Redhead also used to have some great banks but sometimes when there was too much size it just couldn't handle it !! Head a bit further south and you get some epic breaks around Catherine Hill Bay !!
