I am generally very careful with my boots, and have not found a way to prevent heat from causing the light plastic top coating on the boots to discolor with continued exposure to the heat of a motorcycle engine and exhaust pipes. This is perhaps one of the main reasons why most "biker boots" are made of oil-tanned leather (has a dull appearance.)
So there's no way you can preserve the shine of the inside that facing the bike, right? (I'm thinking of geting a motorcycle license.)
