Supernatural : Samael

This is a "wishful thinking" theory that I have about Sam's possible future. I think it needs a bit of explaining so basically from what I have read it is suggested that a Seraphim Angel called Samael was asked by God to go "undercover" into Hell and be like a secret agent for Heaven. So Samael descended (meaning he went willingly - he didn't fall from Grace) into Hell and when he got there his name became Lucifer and he became the Prince of Demons. So what I would love to happen on Supernatural (if I had the choice) was that when the seals were broken and Lucifer rises he is actually the Angel Samael and he helps to save the world from evil (rather than making hell on earth). Samael either incarnates in Sam (Samuel - Samael see the connection) or actually IS Sam and he just needs to get his grace back. Of course it would be a surprise to everyone cause they didn't know he was undercover in Hell - demons at any rate. Anyway I think it would be neat twist and then Sam as an angel or possessed by an angel and Dean can save the world - that way it wouldn't be a sad and epic battle of brother against brother. And if Sam was the actual angel and had to go off at the end Dean would be okay with it cause Sam was all angely. While this probably isn't the story line Kripke has planned I think it could be an interesting one - or at least a nice one.

Please note there are alot of different religious theories out there about the angel Samael and who or what he is. This is just ONE of them. I'm not saying it's the right one. You could argue which one is right until the cows came home - this is just one version.....it all seems to be a matter of opinion only if you ask me (not fact).

I like idea - Sam is Samael (Actually I wrote fiction about that))) But Samael is not Lucifer, he is Satan. Yes, Satan and Lucifer are two different angels. And Samael is Lilith's husband :)))

Yeah I read those theories - and lots of different religions have different versions. I liked this version cause it wasn't so apparent on first research - you had dig a bit deeper to find it and I also liked it because it was based on the latin and aramaic translations and I also thought it fitted the spn story nicely. Also the version I read said Samael was Lillith's husband but that she was also his twin - he married his sister!

Right. And I was looking into what many people say that demons came from when Lilith bred with Adam but that's also incorrect since demons were here BEFORE Adam.

And then again Lilith was a daemon, which many people confuse for demon.

@vassephardi Yeah , the idea of Demons and Fallen Angels being the same species is a purely Christian one . Demons in Judaism are described as " hideous creatures with features of both man and beast who lurk in the wildest parts of the world looking for humans to torment and tempt into sin ".

I read a few years ago in a childrens Torah that when the "fallen angels" landed on earth they came across demons. And so the demons taught the fallen angels their black arts and so the fallen angels taught the demons their magics.

I'd like to get a hold of that book again but I'd lost it years ago.

Basically what that one part was saying was that demons and fallen angels are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT creatures and have nothing to do with each other until the fallen angels came across them here.

@vassephardi The Tempter ( often mistakenly called Lucifer ) is Sataniel . Other Satans include Beelzebub , Moloch and Leviathan . Each Satan presides over a different section of Hell . Dante`s Satan resembles Leviathan though he`s mentioned as having been Lucifer .

@vassephardi As I said , once enough people believe in something even if their ancestors believed something totally different about the same characters and concepts , this idea becomes " truth " in those peoples ` minds and to question those ideas is regarded as " blasphemy " . In The Bible , many Satans are mentioned . Lucifer ain`t one of `em . HaSatan is The Accuser of Job , Samael is the " chief of the satans " , the satan who spreads plagues and one of only three who can leave Hell .

But it's strange 'cause by the time of the Lucifer Rebellion there had already been two prior rebellions by others way before him.

2nd: Satan is just the "state attorney" or Accuser. Which would make him "neutral". That's not a fallen angel in any way, shape, nor form.

And then The Serpent was a totally different creature altogether.

Yet together, all three make up the INFERNAL TRINITY as set in many peoples minds.

Then again Sama-El has NOTHING to do with these three characters.

@Angelino4kaWebster For the record , Samael was one of many names Lucifer`s gone by in the past in the Supernatural Universe and though it`s never outright stated , it`s heavily implied " he did things " to her to tempt her into becoming the first Demon and help him take vengeance on God and the other Angels .
